Look at the smaller models. "As the population ages and more older buyers 'don't do stairs,' it's becoming more appealing to replace the chest model in the basement with a model you can work into the design of your older kitchen. An undercounter model with 5 cubic feet of space is plenty for most people, or you might want to consider a freezer drawer."
Don't try to work a giant unit into an old kitchen design. "There's just not a place for it," Justin says. "It's much more likely you could incorporate an undercounter or drawer unit into an existing design."
If you want to add color and pattern to your kitchen, this toaster is a great choice. It can only handle two slices of toast at once, however, so this is a better option for a single person or couple. For those of you who cook a lot, a beautiful set of salt and pepper cellars would look lovely sitting out on your countertop. You could even add a glass olive oil cruet to the mix, which would look great and be super handy as you're whipping up delicious meals.

My new stove changed my life, and I'm not kidding. When deciding what to leave out on your counter and what not to leave out, ask yourself this: how many times a week do I use it? For items that you use more than once a week, go ahead and leave them out. I use my handheld vacuum on the daily, and this one is so beautiful, I almost want to hang it on the wall like it's a piece of art.
While online restaurant supply houses bring in goods from splatter covers and barbecue spatulas to cases of wine glasses, a few of the more modest-size items also seem to fly off the websites, both because they're better quality and because they look like the stuff used by "real" chefs and caterers.
